Bounce to Freshness
This is such a great design both to the consumer and to the designer. Design wise it is great because it is it uses contrasting warm colors and light colors to create high contrast and vibrant colors. Also the name of the brand is large and almost centered so it is clear what the name of the brand is. Everything about the design is very bright and modern but also it has the image on the right of the sheets hanging out in a field which represents freshness and shows that the product is for laundry. The whole package is made to attract the consumer and make them buy it, which I believe it is successful in.
Tropical Glade
I love the design on this can of Glade room freshener. The colors on the can are analogous colors and correlate with sent of the spray. The sent is Hawaiian Breeze so it has the traditional hawaiian flower and a pineapple which are all symbols that are often associated with the idea of "Hawaiian" scented things. The color orange was probably chosen to go with the pink flower, I enjoy the orange gradient it gives it a unique look and the type face is legible but also fun, Overall the can is very colorful and fun which makes it a standout to consumers.

Tis the Season
Twilight
This is the cover for the Twilight book the first one of the series which I think is a very well designed book cover. The black, white, and red colors create high contrast and make the cover look mysterious. Also, It is unknown why the hands and arms are so white and the reason for the apple but, after reading the book you understand why the cover is designed the way it is. I like the type face is appropriate for the story plot because the book takes place in Washington so it is very "forest" like. I think that that title could be a little larger but the image itself it interesting enough to draw the audience in and make them interested in getting the book.

The American Drink
The pepsi can is such a simple design but it is recognized by everyone, you can tell it is an american drink because of the red, white, and blue. The design makes it seem like it is a traditional american drink that everyone drinks. To me the circle represents the globe of the world and how their design of pepsi takes over the world. It is more of a logo then a design because of the simplicity and minimal shapes. I also like the simple type face and the placement and how it is different it goes up and down instead of left and right.
Catnip
This is a bag of cat treats that I bought for my kitten, This brand stuck out to me when shopping for her because of the bag design. The bag is cute, fun, and colorful which will make it stand out to customers and make them want to buy it, also they are very affordable and my kitten loves them. The bag is mostly yellow, green, and neutral colors which plays on the idea that they are "natural" because they are earthy colors. The cartoon cat and chicken make the bag cute and playful and the cat is hiding for the chicken because the treats are chicken flavored and the brand name is "Temptations" and the cat is tempted by the chicken. Overall I like the design I think it is effective and it sells well because of it.

Redbull gives you wings
This is a can of redbull with a very simple yet eye catching design. Other then the can being silver it is made only of primary colors, red, blue, and yellow. The Geometry in the design create a cool eye catching can with the blue squares and the little yellow circle in the middle and the simple red type face. Everything is very simple yet the red bulls in the center give it some flair and represent the actual title of the drink. I enjoy the design but the only complaint I have is that it is an energy drink and maybe the design should be more high energy to show what the product is supposed to do to the consumer.
Apple Goodness
This is a bottle of apple soda that I think has a successfully designed label. One of the main things that is good about this label is the use of complementary colors the red and green create high contrast that is used to catch the eye of the viewers. Also red and green are common colors referred to apples so it emphasizes the idea that it is an apple soda. I like the type face used also because it is fun and fun labels make you more likely to buy a product over boring labels.

Oranges and Ducks?
This is a cartoon of Orange juice that I believe has a successful yet unsuccessful design. I believe this is a good design because of the use of complementary colors (blue and orange) to create high contrast and to catch the viewers eye. Also, the use of a familiar common household name, donald duck will also catch the viewers eye and also attract the children to help convince the parents to buy the product. Overall the company is extremely smart for creating such an attractive design but, if you really think about it the design does not make sense because donald duck has nothing to do with oranges or orange juice.
Fireball
This is the logo design on a bottle of alcohol called "Fireball" which is a cinnamon whiskey. I believe that this is a successful logo design both visually and usefully. The whole logo is simple yet really emphasizes that idea of the whiskey being spicy and fire-y. The dragon represents fire and strength, with the burned edged of the the paper and the warm color scheme of the reds and yellows all tie together to create a successful design.

Escape from Wonderland
look good, smell good.
I love the design on this bottle, It really caught my eye when looking at it in the store but, that could partially be because its purple my favorite color! :) I really like how the bottle is clear which is always helpful for a girl because then you can tell how much of the spray you have left instead of having to guess. The bottle shape itself has a very sophisticated and sleek look to it while the colors liven it up to make it not too sophisticated. The design on the bottle is appropriate and corresponding to the sent of the spray, The scent is "Napa Autumn Blackberry" The purple on the bottle is to the color of the blackberry juice, and the leaves tie in the autumn part and the leaves are all analogous colors to the purple except for the one gold leaf that pops out. My only criticism to the design is Im not a huge fan of the type face used it doesn't stand out enough to me and their should have been one more gold leaf somewhere to tie it all in.

Concert logos
This is a box that I received that has a ticket to an electronic music festival that I attended in June 2013. I really love this design because it successfully incorporates the concepts of the event it being an electronic festival as well as incorporating the idea of the Daisies from the name of the festival being "Electric Daisy Carnival" Upon receiving the box their was surprise gifts as well as the concert ticket, I believe that the dark blue color box and having the logo the smaller size gives the box a more mysterious look to add to the surprise and excitement of what is in the box.The logo is simple and shows the "electric" part of the concert with the wires glowing on the letters and the engraved daisies around the logo add more to the design without it being to over the top and busy.

Halloween Time
Here is a advertisement I received for a Halloween themed electronic music festival about a year ago. I really like this design by looks but for advertisement purposes I don't believe it is very effect. I enjoy this design because of the creativity I enjoy that It is in the shape of a skull and I like that the colors show that it is a halloween event without being to typical black and orange. Overall I believe it is a good design it is fun to look at and can be used as a decoration, as I chose to keep it for. As an advertisement I do not think it is effective, it is too busy and the typography is not bold enough to know right off that bat what the flyer is trying to sell to you.

Somewhere between here and there...
This is a design on a tee shirt that I feel in love with when shopping in a cotton on store, It is a style that I enjoy which uses typography to create the overall design. The background is a picture of mountains and the quote "somewhere between here and there I found you" stylized to make the overall design more interesting. There is a sort of hippie feel to the design that attracted me to it, and the quote is one that all people can relate to about finding a loved one. overall I believe it is an effective design because it draws attention in from the audiences without being to overwhelming by using softer colors.
